I love Logitech Harmony remotes! My parents have one (thanks to my husband’s convincing), my in-laws have one, and we have one. We all have different versions, but I love them all.
The remotes simplify the entertainment center. If you want to watch a dvd instead of having to push one button to turn on the tv, another to turn on the sound system, another to turn on the dvd player, and then even more to get the tv to the right channel/input, you just select “watch dvd” on your Harmony remote and it does all of that for you!
My only complaint might be user caused, but sometimes when we push “watch tv” the sound system won’t turn to the right setting. It will turn on, but it will be on a setting for either dvd or video. This only happens some of the time and I’m not sure why. Even with that glitch (I’m pretty sure our remote is an older model) I still highly recommend it to everyone. It’s one of those unneccessary products that make life so much better.

Couldn’t agree with you more! I’ve got a whole house full of unnecessary things that make my life better. Well, maybe not better but certainly more fun.
You might try upgrading the firmware in your remote. That will usually take any glitches you may have!
