Rep. John Murtha Hospitalized; Political Career Winding Down? – Post Chronicle

Rep. John Murtha, Pennsylvanian Democrat who is now leading the House Defense Appropriates subcommittee, has been hospitalized. According to reports, he was put in intensive care at a Virginian hospital on Feb. 2, 2010.

John Murtha is apparently in the hospital over gall bladder surgery from last week. Murtha is under good care and is currently being treated the best that doctors can right now.

Murtha had a scheduled laparoscoppi surgery last week at the Bethesda Naval Hospital. Murtha’s political life could be at an end at the age of 77.

Experts are worried about his health. Murtha though is a prominent and deemed undefeatable candidate in Pennsylvania’s 12th district. He’s had the seat since 1974. (c) tPC
