Sony sat down with Eurogamer at the Develop conference last week, and had some interesting things to say about its new motion controller technology — including a bit of polite smack to talk about the Wiimote. Unfortunately, we’re not sure that Paul Holman, SCEE VP of R&D, was referencing MotionPlus when he said that Sony’s [...]

If “ifs” and “buts” were candy and nuts, Sony would have actually taken its time and put more effort into the conception and development of its VAIO P netbook before it was announced and released some six months ago. While we had high hopes for Sony’s sleek and beautifully crafted VAIO P back in the day, it’s become a major point of frustration and thus, ridicule, ever since we first powered it up. Handcrafts made to look like old pieces of Nintendo hardware are great. Which is why this Netbook cover, received as a gift by Flickr user Mendicon, speaks for itself. But I think this could be even better.
How, you ask? Consider the shape of the NES controller, and think about which netbook best resembles it—yep, the [...]

TechRadar reports that there will be a “range” of Vaio Ps, Sony’s super tiny and super expensive laptop coming later this year.
We recently got a minor spec bump in the original line, making the Vaio P as fast as normal netbooks. No other details on what the new machines will have, however. [TechRadar]
