Mr. Corzine lost his bid for a second term as governor last November.
He has been appointed chief executive of MF Global, an international brokerage firm that specializes in futures, options and derivatives trading.

Amazon acquires Zappos, the customer-friendly shoe company, for $807M

Amazon.com said it has agreed to acquire shoe retailer Zappos.com in a stock deal valued at $807 million.

Nokia posts 66 percent drop in profit for Q2, share price falls immediately

This morning, mobile giant Nokia announced a 66 percent drop in profits for the second quarter, and candidly announced that it doesn’t expect to gain market share, lowering its profitability targets going forward. Almost immediately, the company’s shares plunged 14 percent.
Sales grew even thinner throughout the second quarter, falling 25 percent overall to $14 billion. [...]
